The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796. It has two campuses - the John Anderson Campus in downtown Glasgow and the Jordanhill Campus in the west end of the city. Strathclyde is Scotland's third largest university with a population of 13,000 students - a population which includes representation from over 90 countries. It has gained a reputation as Scotland's most dynamic and innovative university, with a proven record of excellence in education. Strathclyde University is well-known for their Engineering program and is the only TEACH university that offers Archaeology as a graduate program. The University offers faculties in Arts & Social Science, Education, Business, Engineering and Science.
