The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796. It has two campuses - the John Anderson Campus in downtown Glasgow and the Jordanhill Campus in the west end of the city. Strathclyde is Scotland's third largest university with a population of 13,000 students - a population which includes representation from over 90 countries. It has gained a reputation as Scotland's most dynamic and innovative university, with a proven record of excellence in education. Strathclyde University is well-known for their Engineering program and is the only TEACH university that offers Archaeology as a graduate program. The University offers faculties in Arts & Social Science, Education, Business, Engineering and Science.

The University of Strathclyde is located in Glasgow, Scotland. With a population of 660,000, Glasgow is Scotland's largest. It offers a host of opportunities for theatre, restaurants, pubs, music, art galleries, and cinema. Even in the heart of the city, you are never far from the glorious Scottish countryside. Loch Lomond is a 40 minute drive. Glasgow is ideally situated for travelling throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
