| University of Canterbury had a national and international reputation for excellence. It was established in 1877. The college is located on the east coast of the south island of New Zealand. Christchurch (population 330,000) is known as the Garden City as it has many beautiful parks and gardens. The city and the surrounding areas offer many exciting sports and activities such as bungee jumping, jet boating, golf, mountain biking, skiing and snow boarding. There are ten major ski resorts within a two hour drive. The college is located 15 minutes drive from the centre of the city. In New Zealand, there are beautiful beaches, majestic glaciers, volcanoes, rainforests fjords and awesome mountains. |

| Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Primary) |
| The GradDipTchLn(Primary) is a fifteen-month full-time diploma for university graduates. The academic year starts in mid-February and continues until mid-November, recommences in mid-January and concludes in mid-April. Please note there is not a mid-year intake commencing in July for the Primary program |
