"Going to the University of Strathclyde with TEACH Education Consultants was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The PGDE course at Strathclyde was a very intense 36-week course, I learned a lot during the PGDE course and I was able to many new and positive experiences during my year overseas. Prior to my departure, the TEACH team organized social gatherings for Strathclyde students. These early meetings set up a strong sense of community among the Canadian students, which followed us to Scotland where we participated in traditional Highland Games, hiking trips around the Glasgow area, visits to historic sites, and travelling in the UK and Europe. The role TEACH played in bringing together my “family” of students in Scotland, was in my opinion, essential to feeling at home during my studies abroad. Some of the Canadian students, myself included, found a little bit of Canada even in the heart of Glasgow: a Tim Horton’s!!! "
"The social gatherings organized by the TEACH team allowed me to find other Canadian students with similar interests as me (like travelling to historic sites and Tim Horton’s coffee!). The team also made the application process a simple and concise experience, offering advice and organizing information sessions for prospective students, and their families. I found the info sessions held by TEACH to be a great source of help and information to both myself and my unconvinced parents. After meeting face-to-face with the TEACH team and the University of Strathclyde Faculty of Education at an info session, my parents felt satisfied with my decision to go abroad for teacher training. Last, but certainly not the least, the TEACH team were very helpful in instructing me in obtaining a student visa and living accommodations in Scotland. It was a wonderful feeling to know that the team at TEACH could help with the administrative aspects of my studies abroad!
In short, TEACH made my year studying at the University of Strathclyde (and travelling abroad) a carefully considered, straightforward and fantastic experience!!!"
